My car got its window broken last night
Random event:
The Monster took the van to the bowling alley last night, and when she came back, the entire passenger window had been broken. It's really random, but nothing was taken (including her purse which is good.) I remember the time I left my car idling unlocked at Best Buy for a half hour and nothing was taken. Capricious!

I always thought "capricious" applied primarily to individuals and their actions--"she's so capricious", "that was a capricious thing to do"--and didn't realize it also can be applied to states of affairs ("a capricious turn of events").But I looked up the term, and sure enough it does.
Nice usage, brohan. Sorry about the window, but sounds like it could have been worse.
