Oh man

So, this team in France just did a facial transplant for a lady that had her face tore off by a dog:

So that's pretty weird or whatever.
But get this:

The face has to be taken off a living (but presumably brain-dead) donor. Furthermore, when taken off a ventilator, people can sometimes start breathing on their own again, etc. So, they could take the face off your brain-dead sister, pull her off the ventilator, and SHE KEEPS BREATHING. You just took the face off a living person! That's so fucked up!

But, if it helps just one little girl born without a face (thanks for nothing, Tyler), then won't it all be worth it?
